Beginner’s Guide to the Bagua Map: Understand Feng Shui in Easy Way
The Bagua Map is a foundational Feng Shui tool used to map out the energy flow in any space. By overlaying the Bagua on a home’s floor plan, it's possible to identify areas connected to life aspects like wealth, health, relationships, and career.
How to Apply the Bagua Map:
Apartments:
Use the Western (BTB) method. Align the bottom of the Bagua Map with the main entrance wall. The front door usually falls into one of these areas: Knowledge, Career, or Helpful People.
Houses:
Use the Compass School method. Place the Career Area at true North based on a compass reading. The rest of the Bagua follows the cardinal directions—Reputation to the South, Health & Family to the East, etc.
Choosing the correct method based on the type of residence helps create better Feng Shui balance. Applying the Bagua Map can guide décor, colors, and layout choices to support harmony and positive energy throughout the home.
